Magnitude of 7.7 earthquake struck in Indonesia
Apr 07, 2010 I Earthquakes.A Magnitude 7.7 earthquake that struck Indonesia on Wednesday morning at the northern coast of the island of Sumatra make some damage & no fatalities, sources said. It also creates power break off in more places.
In this quake, 62 people were wounded, but authorities said toll will be increased some time. In this quake struck around 5:15 am local time. It was centered about 60 kilometers southeast of the town of Sinabang on Simeulue Island, which lies 150 kilometers off the west coast of Sumatra’s Aceh area.
The epicenter was placed nearly that existing earthquake of the 8.9 magnitude quake on December 26, 2004 that caused a terrible Indian Ocean tsunami that take the lives of at least 226,000 people in Indonesia, Sri Lanka, India, Thailand, & some other locations too.
